We provide you with comprehensive training

Lend a Hand care and support workers undertake comprehensive training programme which will provide you with nationally recognised qualifications. This will enable you to stay safe at work and provide the best level of care and support to our customers.   

Work with Lend a Hand and you will receive training on:

Mandatory requirements as set out in Care Quality Commission regulations

  • Health and Safety awareness training
  • Emergency First Aid at Work/Resuscitation
  • Manual Handling/Moving and Handling of People
  • Infection Prevention and Control
  • Food Hygiene/Food Safety Awareness
  • Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (or Children depending on service)
  • Equality, Diversity and Human Rights

You will be supported to complete the 15 Standards set out in Care Certificate

We also exceed national regulations by providing training on:

  • QCF Accredited Qualifications: Level 2, 3, 5 as required
  • Dementia Care
  • Catheter Care
  • Peg feeding
  • Data Protection

Everyone in our team is really valued and you will receive regular supervisions so you feel supported in your role. We recognise the hard work and dedication of Care and Support Workers and aim to help you progress your career.
